Morgan & Morgan Partners With Cincinnati Bengals to Support Freestore Foodbank Through Defensive Sacks

Cincinnati Bengals defensive plays at Paycor Stadium are taking on a vital community mission during the 2026 football season through a new charitable campaign that connects on-field defensive success directly with local hunger relief efforts. Under the newly announced "Sack Hunger" initiative, defensive stops achieved during home games will translate directly into financial contributions designed to help low-income families and individuals throughout the region.

The philanthropic program is being spearheaded through a dedicated partnership involving law firm Morgan & Morgan and the Freestore Foodbank, a major regional non-profit organization. Under the structured terms of the campaign, Morgan & Morgan will donate $500 to the Freestore Foodbank for every single defensive sack the Bengals record while playing at Paycor Stadium.

In addition to funding critical meal distribution across the community, the partnership provides substantial in-stadium visibility for the law firm throughout the 2026 season. Football fans attending home games in Cincinnati will see official Morgan & Morgan branding displayed after the first defensive sack occurs in each home game as part of the featured "Sack Hunger" presentation.

The promotional collaboration extends further across game days through the venue's electronic display systems. Whenever game officials assess penalties on the playing field during home matchups, Morgan & Morgan branding will appear across Paycor Stadium's sideline LED display boards, reinforcing the firm's presence during crucial moments of the contest.

Organizers intentionally scheduled the launch of the "Sack Hunger" campaign to coincide with Hunger Action Month in September. By establishing the initiative at the beginning of the autumn schedule, the participating organizations ensured that the team's early-season defensive sacks at home would immediately generate vital monetary contributions for the regional food bank.

The formal agreement between the organizations officially took effect in August 2026, establishing the framework for the current football season. Representatives from the participating groups have also noted that this initiative is not intended to be a one-time project, confirming plans to expand the collaborative partnership into 2027 and subsequent years.

The beneficiary organization, the Freestore Foodbank, serves as a primary pillar of emergency food assistance and support services throughout the tri-state area. The financial contributions generated by the Bengals' defensive performance will directly support the organization's extensive daily distribution operations and community programs.

The reach of the Freestore Foodbank encompasses a wide regional footprint, providing essential food resources to low-income individuals and families residing across parts of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Each year, the organization successfully distributes more than 47 million meals across this multi-state service area to combat food insecurity.

To meet the evolving demands of the community and address rising regional needs, the non-profit organization significantly expanded its physical infrastructure in recent years. In 2023, the Freestore Foodbank constructed a $32 million distribution center and workforce training facility, creating a modernized hub for regional food operations and educational programming.

That substantial $32 million capital investment was completed specifically to help the organization keep pace with the rising rates of food insecurity observed across Greater Cincinnati. The dedicated facility helps streamline large-scale logistics while equipping community members with valuable workforce training opportunities to support long-term self-sufficiency.

The timing of the "Sack Hunger" campaign aligns with broader nationwide efforts, as September marks the 19th annual Hunger Action Month campaign. Led across the country by Feeding America, the annual observance is dedicated to raising public awareness regarding food insecurity and encouraging communities to take action to combat hunger across the United States.

The Freestore Foodbank is an active constituent member of the national Feeding America network, connecting local anti-hunger initiatives in the Cincinnati region to broader nationwide efforts. This affiliation ensures that local fundraising and distribution efforts align with established standards for providing emergency nutritional aid.

By connecting defensive football milestones to charitable giving, the campaign integrates professional athletic competition with corporate community support. Each tackle of an opposing quarterback at Paycor Stadium not only energizes the home crowd but also directly increases the financial resources available to supply meals to vulnerable households.

As the 2026 season moves forward, Bengals fans will have an added philanthropic incentive to cheer for defensive stops at Paycor Stadium. With commitments already in place to continue the initiative into 2027 and beyond, the partnership between the Bengals, Morgan & Morgan, and the Freestore Foodbank aims to maintain a lasting impact in the ongoing fight against regional hunger.
